Falcons Ink Former UGA Running Back
He most recently played for the Black and Gold. I wonder what effect this has on Brown and/or Snelling making the team. You'd have to think that youth will win out, but you never know.

Personally
I gotta agree with you, Franky. Snelling or Brown will probably win the job.

Bergeron didn’t stick around very long.

Um...
He’s a six-year vet. He might be a camp casualty, but he won’t be a practice-squad candidate.
I personally think he’s here to help out during the preseason and make sure we have the depth to essentially sit Michael Turner for the entire preseason and let Norwood, Brown, and Snelling get the bulk of the carries. It’s always nice to have another option, just in case, but I don’t even think he’ll make it until preseason.

I like the pickup
Looking at some of the Steeler forums on the same topic, he seems to be highly regarded as a quality 3rd down back and short yardage reciever.
Its pure speculation, but perhaps the Falcons Brain Trust is quietly making backup plans in case Turner or Norwood gets hurt during the season. Having a veteran backup, at least as an option, would be a very good idea.
