Terence "Terry" Moore wrote his last column for the AJC today. He certainly stirred up his fair share of controversy over the years. I have not always agreed with him (read: I almost never agreed w/ him), but I am somewhat surprised to see him go.

I think Moore never cared if people agreed with him

He just wrote what he wanted to write, had his own opinions and rolled with it. As a writer, you’ve got to respect that.

Best of luck, Terence.

Also

A lot of those times his opinion was based off misguided, or misinterpreted, facts. I think that’s why most people didn’t like him. They should hire you Dave.

so long jackass

TM was never anything more than a pot stirrer and a hater. I never read a single article by him that did not put someone or something down in Atlanta. To write a positive story would have killed him. So I say farewell jackass. dont let the door hit you in the arse on the way out…

Maybe

if he spent more time being a real journalist instead of hanging around that horrendous show kissing Jim Rome’s rear, he might have actually been tolerable…

Ah who am I kidding, the dude was a complete hack. Sekou Smith is much much better. Too bad he doesn’t cover the Falcons, though he may start now.

FILE - In this Sept. 4, 2009 file photo, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Shaun Hill aims a pass downfield against the San Diego Chargers during the first quarter of an NFL preseason football game in San Diego. Hill earned the starting job for the 2009 season by beating out Alex Smith, who missed last season after re-injuring his surgically repaired throwing shoulder. Head coach Mike Singletary largely chose Hill based on his play down the stretch last year: he went 5-3 over the final eight games and he also owns a 5-0 record at home in Candlestick Park.
