A Very Falcoholic Discussion: Will Peria Jerry Start?
I'm sure we'll discuss this further as we go ahead, but why not start early?
Assuming Trey Lewis is healthy and Jonathan Babineaux is ready to go, how will the Falcons handle their defensive tackle rotation? Will Jerry be a guaranteed starter, and if he is, does that mean Babineaux has to sit? Discuss away as we wait for the Falcons' second round pick to tumble into us.

Rotation
Gotta be a rotation with Babs and Jerry on passing downs.
Maybe there is no Heaven. Or maybe this is all pure gibberish — a product of the demented imagination of a lazy drunken hillbilly with a heart full of hate who has found a way to live out where the real winds blow — to sleep late, have fun, get wild, drink whisky, and drive fast on empty streets with nothing in mind except falling in love and not getting arrested...Res ipsa loquitur. Let the good times roll.

agreed
Although we may not have two hulking monsters in the middle like Coach Smith did in Jacksonville with Stroud and Henderson, our quicker and more athletic rotation of Lewis, Babineaux, and now Jerry may wind up being just as effective under Smith’s coaching.

Starting
This is a great pick. He is a great pass rusher which we need, and he is also a good run stopper. We will have a great rotation. Jerry will start along side Babineaux. I could see them using him on the outside some when they run the 3/4 formation. I can’t wait to see what Trey Lewis can do when healthy again. I can really see J. Anderson stepping up this year in a big way. On passing downs, opposing quarterbacks are gonna be running for their life.

you think
this guy could be our Haynesworth of the future?
Put on 20 pounds and you got the weight. He’s 5 inches shorter which gives him a better center of balance and lets him get under defenders and push up. He’s already faster than Haynesworth too.
I predict him at least 2-3 sacks this season. Up to 5 his next. I wouldn’t put it past him to see 8 sacks in a season by his 4th year.
The more I research the guy, the more I like him. He’ll definitely be starting this season with Lewis and Babs rotating next to him. Very easily a 3 down guy. Between him and Abraham, the team is going to be tearing some guys up. When offenses start overcompensating for him and Abe, hopefully, hopefully, hopefully Anderson finally does something to make him worth being on this team
