I've heard that they've been linked to Michael Bush
Scary thought for me. Good thing Clayton is the kind of bizarre signing we’ve come to know and love.

I think he'd be an upgrade for them
Just because the Raiders want to turn Bush into a fullback doesn’t mean he’s not a talented bruiser.

I still haven't figured it out
what is Tampa Bay doing? They have a ridiculous amount of cap room… so what they failed to get Haynesworth… don’t they have a backup plan to spend all of that in order to build a team in time for the end of the offseason?

Yeah
Getting rid of Garcia didn’t make much sense either. I don’t think that dude will ever get any love …

Bucs just signed Derrick Ward
Like I said my original post, "all I can conclude is that this is proof positive the Bucs are going to focus on their running game next season. "

I think you're right
Now that Gruden’s gone, they might actually try to develop a young quarterback, and you can’t do that well without a solid running game.

No doubt
Me thinks the Bucs are attempting to copy the Falcons formula.
They’ve hired an under the radar defensive minded coach with no head coaching experience.
They’re purging themselves of the old guard.
They’ve signed the best available free agent RB.
If the trend follows they must be targeting a QB in the 1st round of the draft.

Which QB do you think would be their target?
Stafford’s probably going to be playing in Detroit and I don’t think Sanchez is going to be available when they’re on the clock. And if they go for John Parker Wilson, they are in a world of hurt…unless he somehow manages to turn into a decent QB overnight.

I predict a trade.
They were willing to trade for Cutler.
Why wouldn’t they trade up to get Stafford or Sanchez?

I w/ you
First round QBs are a complete crap shoot. They seem to think McCown can do some things, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they trade for one of the following: Rex Grossman (change of scenery might do him some good), Joey Joe Joe Shabadoo (crazier things have happened), or Ken Dorsey (dude actually has a winning record in games he started).
Complete conjecture, I know, but I thought I’d take a stab in the dark.

Crap Shoot
You are entirely correct.
However this is a copy cat league and after watching Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco explode onto the scene, I’m sure several teams are thinking they can draft a dynamic QB just as easily. Considering the moves the Bucs have made so far, I think they may be one of those teams.

I would be very amused
Wouldn’t it be funny if the world goes back to normal around the NFL and all the first round QBs that these teams are going to try to start turn out to be the same disappointments as history predicts?
I have my money that that is more of a likelyhood than a possibility.
I fear that is going to be the fate of Tim Tebow in next year’s draft. They are going to pick him up quick so he can start and he isn’t going to be able to run over guys in the NFL like he could in college.
