Around SBN: Phil Mickelson Outshines Tiger Woods

Lawyer Milloy wants to go to the Seahawks, to which I reply "okay." Lawyer did some good things while he was here, but he also began showing his age and sort of got in a little bit of legal trouble there, so this isn't the end of the world. Move Thomas DeCoud or Erik Coleman over to SS and draft another safety in the middle rounds. Problem solved.

Foxworth, on the other hand, must be signed. There's some conflicting viewpoints on how good Foxworth was for us last year, but here's mine: He was a very good tackler who played pretty good in coverage. On a team with a truly top flight corner, he'd be a solid number two. For this Falcons team, he's clearly the best option until Chevis Jackson has a little time to grow. Make it happen, Comrade!

I concur on both counts. I’ve also been spending tons of money at Home Depot fixing up my house, so Arthur Blank should be able to loosen up the pursestrings for Foxworth

Domonique

I am in favor of re-signing him, but I don’t think he’s worth more then 5-6 million dollars a season, for more then 3 years. I don’t think he’s as good as any of the 3 free agent defensive backs named in the article (of the 3 I’d love to have Dunta Robinson – he’s awesome). As far as Lawyer goes, we could do worse then re-signing him, he was solid all of last year, and aside from the Boldin play in the wildcard game, I can’t remember him taking a bad angle all season.

Agreed on Foxworth

I think 3 years, $15-18 million is very reasonable.

Agreed on Dunta

Here’s to hoping he doesn’t get franchised or resigned. I can imagine him wanting to come and play near home (he went to USC – that is the University of South Carolina)

If my mother put on a helmet and shoulder pads and a uniform that wasn't the same as the one I was wearing, I'd run over her if she was in my way. And I love my mother.
