What happened to the Falcon Fans?

I watched the game last Sunday via NFL Ticket. I have to say I was ashamed. I was not ashamed of the Falcons pitiful play, that was expected with the loss of QB, RB, and part of the O-Line and a Defense that has played poorly all season.
I was ashamed of the Falcon Fans, or lack of them. This was home team disadvantage. When the T.V. cameras were spanning the crowd and I see more Eagle and Vick jerseys than Falcon jerseys, I was disgusted. There was more cheering when the Eagles made a play than there was when the Falcons made a play.
I live 1,200 miles from Atlanta. I wish I could go to every game, and cheer for the Falcons no matter the score or record.
If I was Mr. Blank, I would pack the Falcons up and move them to L.A., Portland, OR., Salt Lake City or even Omaha, NE.

The city of Atlanta and the State of Georgia does not deserve a NFL franchise. The local fans better get a clue, before the only teams left to cheer for are the Yellow Jackets and Bulldogs.

By the Way, its been stated that there will be close to 20,000 Saint fans in the Ga. Dome on Sunday. I would not surprised.

Negative Rec'd

Oh, the drama!

Awesome, tom

I wasn’t too put out by this post – he was still overreacting 3 days later, that’s all.

But I’ve been wondering what to do in a situation that calls for what you termed “Negative Rec’d”, and this is perfection! You sir have made me very happy this morning:

Yeah, I overreacted myself

I must stop thinking “What would Sergeant Hulka do?” in these situations!

I think everyone's a bit tense around here these days

Some winning would solve that right quick.

Psssssst. Hey, y'all.

(speaking very quietly) That’s the key to the Falcons losing this weekend. Take the fans out of the game early.

Don’t pass it on! (Shhhhhhhh.)

Fat, dumb, and happy. Hell, two out of three ain't bad!

you sir

are an idiot… I was there as I am for all Falcons home games. In full Falcons gear. cheering my team on until the end as are thousands of Falcons fans. To say that Atlanta does not deserve the franchise is obscene. You are no Falcon fan sir, I am a Falcon fan and I know many other falcon fans. A true fan would not make the statements that you make here. You should move to Omaha, Portland, Salt Lake, etc… and take you bad opinions with you.

Hardcore

Congratulations that you can go to the games! I wish I could, BUT go back and watch the Philly-Atlanta game, you will hear louder cheers when the Eagles made a play vs. when the Falcons made a play. As far as me being an idoit, your not even close. As far as me being a Falcon fan, I have been a Falcon Fan since you were in Pampers. I have watched the Falcons lose more games that I will ever see them win in my life time. This is my 32nd Season as a Falcon fan. Leman Bennett was coach, Steve Bartkowski was QB, Bubba Bean was RB, and Alfred Jenkins was WR. I remember the “Grits Blitz” Do you?
Back in my Army days, I remember being stationed in South Korea, and the only way I could keep up with the Falcons was to watch the 5 minute ticker at the bottom of the t.v. screen looking for the score of the Falcons. The Falcons were not good enough back in 88-89 to be the game of the week that Armed Forces Radio/TV would play. By the way, the 1pm game came on at 3am Monday morning. I would get up with a pot of coffee to watch the 5 minute ticker. But I am not a fan.
I have seen the Falcons in the King Dome in Seattle, Texas Stadium in Dallas, Pheonix, Candlestick Park, the Superdome in New Orleans, and in Miami. yet I am not a fan. And yes, I used to go to the games in Fulton County Stadium and the Ga. Dome. Before you say I am not a fan, think of this, I have lived most of my life outside the borders of Georgia, but my loyalty for the Falcons has never waivered. I have stuck with the Falcons during the few good seasons and all the bad. I wear my red, silver an black proudly, so forgive me when I see and hear fans for the opposing team sounding louder than YOU in the Ga. Dome.
This past weekend against the Saints, the Falcon fans were rocking the Dome and I was VERY Happy. Last week, no so much.

Not

for the time being I will apologize for the idiot remark, but I may have to bring it back based on the response. I would wager that I am older than you are sir. I have been a Falcon fan since 1970. I was 10 years old then. Please stop making assumptions. I was born and raised here so I do not have the border limitations that you have, but I am an old and true fan. A life long fan no matter what. A season ticket holder for over 15 years. You were not there besdie me for this game or any of the games that I have attended over these past 20 + years. You have no idea of how loud I was cheering. I lose my voice after every game. I too was apalled at the Philly and the Aints games with the amount of opposing fans and how loud they were, but I was personally just as loud if not louder than any of them, The next time you are in town, come to the game with me and you will see. Until then please do not assume anything in regards to myself or any of my Dome compatriots. I think we are going to win our last 3 games and yes I will be at the 12/27 Bills game no matter what, cheering my arse off for my team.

You got me by 18 months

Ok Hardcore, you got me by 18 months to two years. I also go horse when I get to go to games. Niether one of us are idiots, we are just two very passionate Falcon fans.
On Sunday December 27th, I expect no less than you sreaming your heart out!, and I hope to be listening to you scream and cheer, and watching the Falcons score on my new 60 inch HDTV (if Santa brings it…and she better)
Hardcore, I wish I was there with you in the dome, so scream loud enough for both of us.
