Saints fans say: Go Falcons!

WHEREAS, the Atlanta Falcons, currently 8-7, can guarantee themselves a winning season by defeating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this Sunday; and

WHEREAS, the Falcons organization has never experienced two winning seasons in a row; and

WHEREAS, having earned an 11-5 record in 2008, a win Sunday will earn the Falcons their first successful back-to-back winning seasons in franchise history; and

WHEREAS, the Saints, being the Falcons' oldest rivals, have given Atlanta fans cause for joy and despair in roughly equal measure; and

WHEREAS, Saints fans this year have enjoyed an excess of elation over the thus-far-successful campaign of their team, and are in a magnanimous mood;

THEREFORE, we, the undersigned Saints fans and members of Canal Street Chronicles, wish to redress the balance, and extend to Falcons fans everywhere, and in particular to those members of The Falcoholic, our heartiest best wishes for a triumphant outcome in Sunday's game, and a successful conclusion to the Atlanta Falcons' quest for back-to-back winning seasons. No, really.

Go kick some serious booty

But watch out…don’t underestimate this Bucs team. We did, and it cost us…big time. Play up to your potential and you’ve got your winning season.

Dave The F and all you rehab resistant Falcoholics, best of luck on Sunday as your boys spank the uppity Bucs and put two winning seasons together, back to back. You’ve got a great team and staff, sure to be a problem for the Saints for years to come. I like that Harry Douglas a lot, as long as he’s not playing the Saints. Good luck!

Peace, love and understanding.

Good Luck Falcons

Truely, y’all have been very gracious to us in the past and we really want to wish y’all good luck in back to back winning seasons. It’s hard to believe, with all the good teams you’ve had, but get it over with this year. And, with enemies like y’all, who needs friends. LOL

This is OUR year!! Yea, I said it. Who Dat!!!

You Can Do It!!!

To Dave the Falconer, Tom Slick, and all the other cool, classy Falcons Fans – You Can Do It!

I know that back-to-back winning seasons are pretty commonplace in other galaxies of the NFL universe, but for us guys in the NFC South, hey, it can be a pretty big deal. Congrats on your season so far. Just one more to go and you can put another (Falcon) feather on your Official NFL Authorized Cap!

I’ve enjoyed visiting "The Falcaholic" during the season and look forward to more of this next year. I, and many other Saints Fans, will be rooting for you guys to beat the Bucs. If you want your offense to run the score up on them here’s a suggestion: Don’t look at film of their last game!

So, all the way from Okinawa, Japan ~ GEAUX FALCONS!!!

Saints fans have had it just about as bad as Falcons fans over the years. Even without the few drops of Cajun blood in my veins, I’d pull for the Saints just from a humanitarian perspective. Get that D healthy, looking forward to the postseason!

GSO.

I live in Asheboro. I don’t have cable/satellite. I’ve been forced to watch the Panthers all year long. It has been depressing at best. Haha.

That being said, it brings a tear to my eye to see a group of Saints fans wishing the Falcons well. Well, a theoretical tear.

I really hope you guys make it to (and win) the Super Bowl. The only team I would accept aside from the Saints would be the Vikes, but if it came down to that, I’d take the Saints.

Good luck.

Maybe the last time you ever hear that from me (unless in the future a win from you would affect the Saints’ playoff hopes).

"Gowin on fourth and 14 will punt it away. He hangs it very high, angling it for the near sideline...HAKIM DROPS THE BALL!!! HAKIM DROPS THE BALL!! Thanks to all you Saints fans rooting the birds! Our rivalry not withstanding, there is no one more deserving than the Big Easy when it comes to the success the Saints are rolling out. Great times for the NFC South!

Congratulations on the back to back winning seasons!

I know I’m late to the party, but I’m happy for Falcons fans. If the Saints don’t pull it together for the playoffs, you guys may be ending the season on a happier note than us. I expect the Falcons to remain a force in the NFC for years to come. The NFL schedulers really doomed you guys this year. Let’s find out who they are and TP their houses.

"I said this early on that this was a good football team, they just maybe had to have a stick put in certain parts of their body to play a little harder in certain places to where we’re able to take interceptions and score touchdowns."--Gregg Williams

when Isaw our strength measures for our schedual I was not only shocked

and confused. How did we get that when we only won the wild card and they gave the steelers a way easier schedual and yet they didn’t even make it to the playoffs. We could have beaten the dorks of New England but they got away with alot of stuff that killed us and so did the cowboys (refering to uncalled penalties)
