Michael Turner To Try To Play Last Two Falcons Games
I've said my piece about this before, so I'll leave you with this Mike Smith quote, pulled directly from the story:
"We want to get him back as quickly as possible because there are still two more games to play."

How about we let him get better and just not start him?
Let him run and cut on the sidelines for a quarter or two before we let him play? That saves any potential re-aggravation of the injury that would be caused by dirty hits
"Ryan, under center. Single receiver set, time on his side. Ryan, gonna throw. First professional pass.....CAUGHT!! Jenkins! 30! 25! 20! 15! 10! 5! He lives in Atlanta!!!" -Wes Durham
good idea
part of the reason why he kept re-aggravating his injury may have had something to do with improper warm ups – that’s why he went down so quickly. maybe if he warms up for a quarter, he can then play safer.

How about
we let the grown up make his own decision.
And it shows that we’re not giving up at the end of the season. Yeah, we could roll over, and just say f it, or we could go out, play football, and try to get a winning record.

I like your attitude, phoenix. If he’s not ready, he won’t play. But he’s trying. I really doubt they would play him if they felt like it was a risk of developing a chronic injury.
Playing DA here
But, exactly how many times before we consider it chronic? He has injured the same ankle three times now, should we, in an effort to acheive a winning record, play him again and again only to get three plays out of him a game? Or is the more important goal the longevity of hic career so that we may utilize him for more than one years worth, or in the least get the most effective use out of him that is possible? Last time I checked, Turner is completely worthless to this team sitting on the sideline.

I appreciate what you're saying
But I think Michael Turner has demonstrated by now that he’d gladly play if he was actually missing one of his legs. While that’s undeniably awesome, I don’t want to risk this becoming a chronic injury for the sake of two games against the Bills, who have the league’s worst run defense, and the Bucs, who really aren’t all that good.

for a moment I thought that's a terrible idea
but then I saw the bright spot – like phoenix pointed out it simply shows we’re not giving up. although it may have something to do with the desire to get first back-to-back winning seasons, I think the main reason is building winning attitude within the team and start preparations for the next season the right way.
