Matt Bryant I understand
But Paul Edinger? Seriously? He hasn’t kicked for an NFL team in years.
We seem to be going backwards here. Hauschka and Coutu were young kickers with upside, and Hauschka just tried out for the Giants kicking job, so we may lose that option. I would much rather go young than try to fill a gap with a middling 30+ kicker who never reached greatness to begin with.
Glad they’re trying out other long snappers, though.

Could be that we don't need to see those guys kick again
And I have actually read it’s more likely that we’re going to fix the problem at long snapper and stick with Elam.

If signing a new long snapper fixes the problem, I'm all for it
And you’re probably right about the kickers. Still, unless those four we tried out were absolutely awful, why try out Edinger?

Yeah, not really sure why they'd bother
But then again, it’s kind of no harm, no foul

um
ok. I still think we need a kicker. the guys they are trying out cant be very good or they would be playing somewhere already, right?
oh btw, did you see the comments on this article? they are saying that Matt went for an MRI on his foot. Why would they do that for a turf toe?

Diagnosis
“When the toe is bent upwards this causes damage to the ligaments which can become stretched. In addition the surfaces of the bones at the joint can become damaged. (SportsInjuryClinic.net)” Turf toe can be a whole range of damaged components. They gotta figure out what’s going on to treat it effectively.

Matt Bryant
is the old TB kicker, isn’t he?
If so, I’d gladly take him. He’s been through hella adversity (death of his own child) and kicked a 600 mile FG to win the game after that incident.
"Ryan, under center. Single receiver set, time on his side. Ryan, gonna throw. First professional pass.....CAUGHT!! Jenkins! 30! 25! 20! 15! 10! 5! He lives in Atlanta!!!"
That was him, wasn't it?
Well, we got him according to ESPN.
Holy shaz is right!
I liked him. I couldn’t believe TB dumped him the way they did. And now, I’m glad he’s a Bird!

Say What You Will about Comrade
He isn’t afraid to pull the trigger to improve the team. He may not do it with flare at times, but he tries to fix the problems that can be fixed.

Gotta admire the decisiveness.
