2009 Falcons Charity Toy Drive

Hey Everyone!  Just thought you should know about the Atlanta Falcons Charity Toy Drive in December.  Several players will be out at the Mall of Georgia signing autographs for fans that bring in a new, unwrapped toy ($10 +).  They're putting this on for charity, with the Toys for Tots program collecting the toys.  There will also be Marines on hand to collect the toys and greet fans.

The event is at the Mall of Georgia (Nordstrom Court, near Santa) on Monday, 12/14/2009 from 6:00-8:00 PM

The players participating are:

Thomas DeCoud

Erik Coleman

Tye Hill

Chevis Jackson

William Moore

This is a great opportunity to meet some players, get some autographs, and give back during the holiday season.  There are plenty of children out there that aren't as fortunate each year, and this is a win-win opportunity for everyone involved to have a truly magical  holiday season.

Great Event!

Just to let everyone know, this is a free event. And the autographs are given out by all of the guys with the donation of a new, unwrapped toy valued at $10 or more.

I would encourage everyone who’s able to donate a toy. It’s a great cause and you get an autograph, as well.

Can't find a much better cause

than poor kids at Christmas. Toys for Tots has partnered with the Falcons for many years, going back to at least the 1970s. Win-win, indeed.

Anyone else find it interesting that it's all players from our secondary?

Right on fellas! Whatever you need to do to get some cohesion out there! In all seriousness, this sounds like a great event.

Reporter: How will you address all of the dropped passes?

Mike Smith: I don’t think that we were as sharp as we have been catching the football. It’s something that is very fixable. It’s VERY fixable.

Toys for Tots

is also collecting toys and donations before the Saints game on December 13. From the Falcons website:

In 2008, Falcons fans gave in record fashion. With donations of over 700 toys and more than $23,000, an amount that surpassed the 2007 Toys for Tots campaign by 50%.

Yeah

I always take a bag full of toys to that Toys for Tots game. I am also doing something for a 20 month old boy through the Salvation Army angel tree at work this year. If you have it, you should give back. I grew up broke so I know how it feels to these kids.

Life is a garden. Dig it!

Right around the corner

Hey everyone! Hope you’ll be able to make it out on Monday for the Toy Drive. Hopefully, it will be a nice celebratory drive after a big game Sunday!
