Should the Falcons pursue Larry Johnson?
So like many of you here witnessed yesterday, our beloved running back Michael Turner has been injured and looks like he will be gone a while. Jerious Norwood if I am not mistaken is still injured and trying to get back on the field. How about a solution to all of this - LARRY JOHNSON!!!
Well hear me out before you call me a crazy S.O.B. Larry Johnson is one talented back who of course is miles better than our options right now (Jason Snelling and apparently Aaron Stecker). Mr. Johnson would provide great talent at RB that we could use right now while Norwood and Turner are injured. Sure we have Snelling but lets face it but IMO Larry Johnson offers speed and brute strength combination that could really work on our team similar to Turner.
I would really like if the staff to consider him even though it will be unlikely that he will join because of 1) his attitude 2) possibly expensive contract or 3) other. If signing him means a high chance at getting some wins and a wild card spot or even that back-to-back winning season I say get him.
Any other people agree with me? I have a feeling most people here won't lol.

Bengals have all but officially signed the dude
So I don’t think this is going to be much of a debate.
But for the sake of argument, I’ll be incendiary and say I’d rather have Snelling than Johnson. Johnson has looked slow and unsure throughout the season, which is part of the reason he was cut in the first place, and Snelling runs to punish.

Wow I heard about Larry talking to them......
But he actually signed? Wow good for him. Awesome !Cedric Benson – Larry Johnson combo is gonna be really great when Benson gets healthy

I think they've got him slotted fourth on their depth chart
Which is why the signing is so odd. Bernard Scott is definitely ahead of him right now.

That is odd
because IMO he should be starting right nowfor Benson like I said till he gets better. Or maybe they have something else they want to try with Johnson. Wildcat maybe?

I think NFL teams are way down on Johnson
He’s averaging an anemic sub 3 yards a carry this year, so I think they might be on to something.

where's hardcore falcon?
we need an ‘um nah’.
it’s basically a moot point but from everything this management has shown, there will be no sheangelo, LJ, TO or other bad attitude players joining the team. personally, i’m fine with that. no need for the distractions except maybe the occasional sideline skirmish..
Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that. - Bill Shankly

Larry Johnson is a bitcher, not a bitch
He simply wanted out of Kansas City….with pay. Which he got, Wow! He’s got maybe two to three years left in him, and he wanted to play for a winner.
Yes the Falcons could use him….at least through the end of the season. But they couldn’t handle it after the Mike Vick aftermath. Never will happen.
But a nice idea.
LJ can still carry the rock.
Falcon’s management knows the playoffs are a long shot now. Probably thinking about the draft already.
If they wanted the playoffs now, they would go after LJ, plain and simple.
I know they are not looking into signing him
Specially after we have gone this long with our present DB’s while Law and McCalister were free agents. And I know that you can not honestly saw that our current DB staff is better than those two vet’s. We are walking through this season with blinders hoping and praying that we can make it with the current staff.
