I believe New Orleans will get to 12-0, then lose to the Falcons in the Georgia Dome.
From Jim Trotter's 2009 NFL Predictions for second half of season.
So there we have it, straight from Trotter's mouth: Saints lose to Falcons in the Dome. I'm liking that prediction.

when do they play NE?
I bet that will be a loss also.
Then it also depends on how desperate Dallas is to hold their lead in the NFC East as to how hard they’ll play against NO also.

They play the Pats in three weeks.
I expect them to lose. I’m working up something special that’ll be up either tonight or tomorrow morning.

ooh, sounds exciting... I can't wait
I no longer think the Saints will see 16-0 (as I had feared a few weeks into the season)… they’ve been showing weaknesses as of late and I think the Falcons and Patriots give them a loss… hopefully some other team will surprise them too before it is all said and done with. Dallas maybe… I really should look at the rest of their schedule. They have to have some other hard games coming up

Their remaining schedule
Um, sucks. New England and Dallas both at home. Falcons and Panthers on the road. Everything else is a joke. I agree with your main point, though – they don’t look nearly as formidable now as they did early in the season. There’s almost no way we’re gonna catch them for the division (unless they completely fall apart or injuries kill them), but their defense is going to be their undoing in the playoffs. There’s no way they can keep scoring a defensive TD almost every week, and their run defense is awful.

I would love for the Falcons
to break their winning streak! Oh Yes……let it be…..

Bottom Line:
They are going to fizz away in the playoffs. Then they can rejoice about how freakin’ awesome they were during the regular season.
Reporter: How will you address all of the dropped passes?
Mike Smith: I don’t think that we were as sharp as we have been catching the football. It’s something that is very fixable. It’s VERY fixable.

Dallas will beat the Saints too
but I’m thinking the Falcons beat them as well.

just to be obnoxiously hypothetical
let’s say NO loses to Dallas and NE and Atlanta miraculously runs the table on the rest of their season. Suddenly Atlanta and New Orleans both finish at 13-3. Who wins the tie breaker? They would have the same Division and Conference W-L record.

Here are the tiebreakers for division win. Struck through your hypothetical situation.
Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs).
Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.
Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.
Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
Strength of victory. <- NO likely has us beat here.
Strength of schedule. <- Same schedule, essentially.
Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed. <- Again, NO here.
Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed. <- NO
Best net points in common games. <- NO
Best net points in all games. <- NO
Best net touchdowns in all games. <- NO
Coin toss <- FATE

What does strength of victory mean?
Is it the scores in the head-to-head match-up? If so, we’d have to bet them by more than 8 in the remach. Not sure about that one. But if it got down to strength of schedule, we’d probably take the division – we got SF and CHI. They got STL and DET. Even with the 49ers and Bears crumbling, they’ll probably finish with better records than the Rams and Lions. Then it wouldn’t matter about those below schedule. Seriously doubt we’ll win out, though.

I'm not sure about strength of victory either
but I agree, I doubt we’ll win out. Giants off a bye is almost too much to ask for and you never know what Jets team you are going to see, but it was a fun thought and how often do you get to start talking about tie-breakers at the midpoint of the season?

Strength of victory
appears to be the combined W-L% of teams you’ve beaten.

I thought
that would be Strength of Schedule

oh wait... you are right
Strength of Schedule is actually the combined record of your opponents from the season prior. So current season record is calculated first (via strength of victory) – so hmm… Falcons would win the tie breaker there
