Thomas Brown
Added to the practice squad. If Norwood or Snelling need to take a significant break, TB is another back that brings something different to the team. From what I have read from Torgo on the cbs board, the Falcons are doing this now because they did not just cut Brown, but rather reached an injury settlement. So the team could not sign him until now. Brown showed up in the preseason, and he can be a capable back in the league.

Reporter: How will you address all of the dropped passes?
Mike Smith: I don’t think that we were as sharp as we have been catching the football. It’s something that is very fixable. It’s VERY fixable.
LATERAL AGILITY!

Do you have a link? I saw this:
CLEVELAND BROWNS-Placed LB Eric Barton on injured reserve. Signed RB Thomas Brown to the practice squad. Released WR Darnell Jenkins from the practice squad.
Did I miss something here?

Well on the transaction list it says he was picked up to the practice squad, http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/teams/transactions/ATL, but then on his personal page it says the Browns got him : (

It's on
The Cleveland Browns Official Site, too.

Yeah
I see it 11/10/09 on the CBS Sports webpage, but it’s not on the Official Site list of transactions (yet).

Guys, I think you might be please later this year of next year with Duece (Antone Smith)....
Give him some time to learn the offense and get use to a line that can block for him. He didn’t have that in college, dangit…

Heir apparent to Jerious, perhaps?
Getting ahead of myself.

We won't need Jerious' heir apparent if he doesn't get healthy soon ...
He’ll be forced to rock the red and black for another year or so (one would hope), maybe at a discount that we can afford.

lol - and there's the silver lining
I guess you are right… even if he does try to leave at the end of the season, no-one will give him more than a back-up’s salary. Hopefully that will persuade him to stay in the Atl a little longer.
know what you believe in and why you believe in it
The guy's running style is makes him a target for injuries...
At this point in his career, you can’t change how Jerious runs, and you have to bring that into an evaluation…
