Snelling was hurt in the Dallas game

according to the AJC. Falcons weren’t required to report the injury until today (Thursday). Puts Stecker’s signing in a new light, doesn’t it?

Also

The Falcons have about as much luck with injuries as Satan has with making snow cones.

Reporter: How will you address all of the dropped passes?

Mike Smith: I don’t think that we were as sharp as we have been catching the football. It’s something that is very fixable. It’s VERY fixable.

Could it be...

…time for the Verron Haynes era to begin in the Big Easy? O_o

I sure hope not

Haynes is a scrub.

We never should have cut Thomas Johnson

I think we need to move on

From Thomas Brown. Dimitroff sure seems to have moved on… He signed Aaron Stecker to the roster, and signed Antoine Smith to the practice squad (instead of Brown). I don’t think it’s ever gonna happen. As far as I know, he is still freely available, but they don’t seem to want him.

Nor should have D.J.Shockley been cut. John Parker Wilson doesn’t have half the arm strength or speed that D.J. had. He was never given half a chance. A DAMN SHAME…………

Serious 'what if' here...but

If I heard correctly, on draft day a few years ago, Adrian Peterson sat and watched as team by team passed up on him. He said that every time a team passed up on him, he promised himself he would make them pay.

What if Stecker comes in with that kind of mentality? Do you have ANY idea what kind of story that would be? Stecker believes he can still play (as many old players do) but what if he came into ATL with a serious vengeance and destroyed the Saints D? I know he hasn’t had long in our offense but a few vanilla plays might be ok. Seriously, whose mind wouldn’t be blown if he took over a game at 33 years old?

Yep, this game has made me delusional. Too much wishful thinking. What a thought, though.

Also wik.

Remember what I said about The Ewing Theory? Does this injury put us into the realm of potential Ewing Theory status? We were all calling for Snelling to get more carries, but if he’s hurt, we feel like we’re in serious trouble. This sets the stage for The Ewing Theory perfectly. Man, this game is either gonna be a serious blowout, or a serious upset, I can feel it.

I think the Ewing theory

Calls for a high-profile star to be gone and the team to play well without him. I think that’d be apply more to Michael Turner than Jason Snelling, myself.

Well, that IS true....

But I think that the Ewing Theory could apply here too. With people calling for Snelling to get more carries and maybe even usurp (for lack of a better word) Turner, if Snelling can’t play, it leaves a less-than-preferable mindset in most fans, which could set it up, especially with the addition of Old Man Stecker

I have an inkling

That Turner’s going to break out soon. I mean he can’t suck for this long can he?…….Can he? Goes off and cries
