Pretty loooving tone in that article, eh? If this is the same Michael Silver that wrote for SI, he DOES get carried away quite often.

Aside from his hyperbole, Silver is right about Ryan though. With his work ethic and physical ability, he has a chance to be one of the elite of his generation. Gonzalez’ comments comparing Ryan and JaMarcus Russell were a hoot.

Even if Ryan gets all that love

Fact of the matter is that he is too mature to let it get to his head. We’ve got a special player on our hands and it’s going to be a whole lot of fun to watch him play throughout his career.

You know after watching the Jets-Dolphins game...

I am thinking the 2008 QB class might end being one of the best ever, our boy Matt Ryan (DUH), Joe Flacco, Chad Henne, and the possibility of Tyler Thigpen if he can ever get out of KC. And somehow after 40+ years of getting shafted, we managed to get the best one of all. Anybody else glad we got the noodle arm instead of Henne in week 1?

Thigpen is out of KC. He’s backing up Henne in Miami, so he might not get to show any true potential there.
