It all started in 2004, when my father decided to buy me a Falcons hat at Target. I never much liked hats, but after this gift, I began collecting more. I only buy the hats I like and those are almost always the official Reebok hats. My favorites are the 06 Sideline and the 07 Draft Day. Any one have a particular favorite Falcons hat, excluding the 1998 NFC Champion Falcons hat, of course?

2008 Reebook Flex Draft Cap

Is my fave of about 4 Falcons related headwear. In total I think I have about 30 NFL related hats.

I hated the Draft cap this year.

Urban style with white mesh? Looked like a ghetto trucker’s cap.

To each his own they say :)

Ghetto Trucker

Funny.

Speaking of football and trucker caps, my own most prized football related cap (sentimental, not financial) is a 1983 Washington Federals cap I got at RFK Stadium. That’s right, I attended several USFL games as a kid. It was one of those “first 1,000 people get a free hat” days and seeing as how there were like 6K people total.

Anyhow, I stuck around after the game to get the players autographs so it’s covered in the signatures of dozens of players no one has heard of, except of for three.

1) Craig James
2) Mike Rozier
3) Glen Carano

It’s pretty ridiculous, but I just can’t help but love it.
