We Better Win This One

So here is something strange that I feel pretty good about saying it.  There is no reason that the Falcons should loose this next came.  I can't believe that I can finally say that after a VERY long time of just hoping for a win.

Star-divide

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that the Cheifs are in utter shambles right now.  They are starting their 3rd QB in as many games (Tyler Thigpen? Anyone?) and they have pretty much looked like crap.  Larry Johnson?  He might as well have not even suited up for the last couple of games as they haven't really gone to him and when they did, he has sucked worse a night visioned Paris Hilton.

What say you?  Is this actually the first game in a long time that we can all collectively say:

"We better win this friggin game.  We SHOULD win this friggin game."

Barometer game?

This team has too much talent (!) to get beaten by KC.

With the following 4 games being against Carolina, Green Bay, Chicago & Philadelphia, they indeed had better win this week and get some momentum going. If not, they could quite easily be 1-6 or 2-5 after seven games, and that’s just no damn fun at all.

Go Falcons!

I concur

This is a game that should have the team licking its chops. John Abraham, Jon Babineaux and even Jamal Anderson should be salivating over the oppurtunity to terrorize a rookie quarterback. The secondary (which looked much better against tampa – was i the only one who was incredibly frustrated watching griese throw 5 and 6 yard passes off his back foot) should also be looking forward to defending a vanilla passing attack.

Finally, with Jared Allen gone, this game should serve as a positive learning experience for Matt Ryan, and should give the O-Line a chance to furhter gel (assuming Baker is back in the lineup.)

Of course Turner and Norwood will poop on everyone in a cheifs jersey.

Tyler Thigpen starting

I think that in Spanish, Tyler Thigpen means “The Falcons Win!”

This should be a very winnable game for the Falcons but they have to play the game to win it. It will not be handed to them and as bad as the Chiefs looked against the Raiders, they still gave the Patriots all they could handle. Thigpen is an unproven QB but so is Ryan! Last week did not give him a bye this week and our O-line has a lot to prove after Tampa ran around them and stopped our running game!
