Run oriented offense or not, every team needs a capable pass-catching TE. They are essential to the safety and sucess of every QB. Think about some of the all time great QB’s and then think about the TE’s those guys had. Those TE’s were the safety nets that allowed those QB’s to sta great for longer. I still think we made a mistake in letting Crumpler go, even more so now that we signed Pollard as it just comes out contradictory to the reason we let Crump go. And I think we all agree that Crump is a much better pass-catching TE than Pollard.
