Joe Horn: Get Me Out Of Here!
If Joe Horn wasn't bound to Atlanta by heavy chains made of money, that dude would be on the next plane to any NFL team that would take him. He's caught in the unenviable position of being buried on the depth chart on one of the weakest teams in the league, so I don't blame him for wanting to leave.
But man, he's getting desperate:
"I'm even contemplating giving some money back to further this thing along," the disgruntled wide receiver said Tuesday. "I'm ready to get it solved and move on. The longer I stay here, the worse it's going to get."
There's some confusion about whether the team is even going to let him take the field anymore, which can only serve to heighten his desperation. Unfortunately, the further they bury him the less they're going to get back for him in any trade. I wouldn't be surprised if the team gets back a swift kick in the nuts for him; anyone willing to pay more for an aging, possibly injured receiver who isn't happy being on a bad team is clearly an idiot.
Which means he's going to the Bucs!

I can see it now
The Falcons brass discussing Horn:
“No way man. There is now friggin way we are going let those 27 catches for barely 9 yards per catch just waltz out that door for nothing!!”

Hey, you can't just replace that production
With any receiver off the street.
What?
You say you can?
Nevermind.

Dang
If we let him go, let’s a just pray to GOD that Eric Moulds is available to fill the ever important spot on the roster of WR’s that think it’s still the year 2000.

Enough already
Unless he can play center, I hope the Falcons eat Horn’s salary and let him go. That ridiculous contract was and is a mistake. It’s time to admit it and move on. I think I read that a buyout would cost something like $2M.
And we’re keeping that idiot McKay on the payroll because… why? What a proud legacy he leaves.
