Atlanta sports bars

Hey folks,

I am moving to Atlanta from NYC to go to Tech. I am from Seattle though and a huge Seahawks fan. I don't think I can get DirecTV in my apartment so I am trying to gather some intel on the sports bar scene in the midtown-GT area. The biggest priority for me is a place that will have the Seahawks game. So that basically means a place that has a ton of TV's and plays every game. If a place is really crowded though than that makes it hard to find a seat by the one TV playing the game. Lastly, cheap beer and food are also good...

So, what the best ATL sports bar based on the above criteria?

Also, I figure I might as well start following the falcons a bit, whats the best bar in my area for the Falcon's game?

Famous Pub & Sports Palace

Is a place were I will go to watch games every now and then. The have dozens of TV and 4 or 5 huge screens for the featured games. Pretty decent bar food there as well. It’s in the Emory Univ. area and not really far from midtown.

I recall there being a bar around that was sort of an unofficial Seahawks gathering spot for games but can’t remember the name. Welcome to Atlanta, I hope you like traffic!

In a way, each of us has an El Guapo to face.

Taco Mac

The original Taco Mac in the Va. Highlands. Also there are Taco Mac’s scattered all over the place. There is one on Piedmont with more TV’s that a Radio Shack as well as one on Peachtree at like Peachtree and 11th or 12th st. They usually have all the games going on a Sunday. Welcome to Atlanta. Go Jackets!

If my mother put on a helmet and shoulder pads and a uniform that wasn't the same as the one I was wearing, I'd run over her if she was in my way. And I love my mother.

It's about time...

...that we got more Jackets on this board. Now we can bump all this UGAy homers outta here! Haha!

As to your search, I would also suggest Taco Mac. Welcome to the ATL and GO TECH!

argh

THESE, not this. For all the upgrades SBN completed, how did they miss adding the simple EDIT POST tool? Seriously Dave, someone should get on this ASAP so I don’t look like a UGAg grad.
