falcons need new image
when michael vick started to wow the nation the falcons changed their image from the black and silver to a weird sort of hip hop uniform, easily the most modern looking in the nfl but with vick gone and a new regime coming in i think that a image overhaul is in order. I personally would like to see the falcons go with an updated version of the red uniforms back when bartkowski used to play but with black socks and shoes to keep a touch of the new, modern look as well. This would help the team and the fans move on from such a trying period in the franchise's history and would make the football team's image coincide with the new hard nosed, traditional style that they will be using from now on.

Should have changed uni's earlier
Too late to change uni’s for this year, probably. Agree that changing them would dovetail nicely with the on-field and F/O changes.
Here’s a link to Falcons uniforms through the years, from the Falcons website. Prefer the red 1980s look myself.

I like them
Here is a confession. I am a bit of an uniform geek and pretty much know WAY too much about all things NFL uniform related.
So I wasn’t thrilled when the new unis arrived but I have grown to really like them. They are among the more unique looking and have since started a certain trend (see the Cards & Vikes latest unis). I like the fact that they recently started wearing the Red jersey’s as their home duds where as in the first year or two they were the alternate. I think that is a nice nod to the past given that red jerseys weren’t present at all since before Glanville went black. I personally really like the black pants/white jersey combo that they wear once a year or so.
So did anyone catch the Project Runway premier this week?

Ooh, Project Runway was faaabulous! :)
Yep, I remember 'hemorrhage', and 'embolism', and even 'detached retina'...
It sounded scary, but when you smell the goal line, they're only words. Just words.

Ugliest. Uniforms. Ever.
Though the Falcons uniforms have always been pretty tasteful, not all teams have been that lucky.
For example, check out the singularly hideous Eagles throwback uni.
Anyone out there have a favorite fugly uni?

When they capture Bin Laden, I hope they make him wear that humiliating Eagles uniform 24/7.
Oh, the shame!

Ha
I like that the title of that post is simply “Oh no”.
Hands down worst NFL uni ever was the orange Bucs uni’s with that pirate that looked a little light in the loafers. I actually quite like the current Bucs uni’s. I also think the current Bills uni’s (especially the monochrome look) are way ugly.
The most interesting have to be the Cowboys. You must be thinking “The Cowboys you say?”. Yep Here is a pretty cool article about how the are pretty much the most unique in all of pro sports.

I found it interesting that they were the first team to go with white home jerseys so that the fans coming to the games would get to see the colors of the visiting jerseys and of course since most teams wear their colored uni’s at home the Cowboys got to wear their home jerseys pretty much year round save for the occasional dark blue outing.

Alright, I have to just chill out now as I have spent way too much time today reading up about this.
