Looking For A Good Post, Sailor?
Like a lawnmower stored for the winter, the "popular" Great Roster Breakdown posts are due to come back and require a lot of energy and swearing before they get going again. Joy for all of us!
What I'm asking for is what position we should be looking at now. I've done kicker and punter (Jason Elam has since taken over kicker, of course), but any of the others are now open for business. Give me a direction and I shall follow it; in the interest of fun for all, try to keep in mind those positions where there might actually be a battle.
Go for it.

Tight End
Where should we be going now that Alge is gone? I say we look into the basketball realm, maybe Big Baby from the Celtics (a joke), but someone with some athletic talent and good hands. many of the good Tight Ends have come from a different sport such as basketball. Im sure they have already looked into getting someone off free agency like Shockey from the giants, but you can never know.
Anyone got any ideas?

Ben Hartsock
hes got decent hands and he can block. and milner is reliable receiver as long as he can stay on the field.

Linebacker
My bet is that Loftin does well enough in the middle to move Brooking back to weakside. Boley is a fixture at strongside and Nicholls becomes the primary backup. Brooking has the ability and willingness to move back inside if needed, so we’re even covered in the event of one injury. Loftin appears to be a true tackling machine, but I don’t know if any of the other young LBs can provide anything but special teams help.
