Matty Ice....the future is now
What a great pick. I see a guy who will be considered one of the best in the league within the next 3 years. He's got the total package...and his arm isn't as weak as some people seem to think! With a better O-line, 2 tight-end set, and GREAT running game...how could he not succeed. We need to start Redman for the first few weeks and let Ryan into the games that Atlanta has a pretty good lead in the 4th quarter (if that happens next season) and let him get his feet wet. He'll be the starter after the bye week. Come on ya'll.....get on the Matty Ice Bandwagon!!!!! I LOVE THE FALCONS!!!!

Article in SI
I just finished reading an article in this weeks SI about the Falcons and Matty Ice.
Sounds like this kid is smart, if not talented. He impressed Dimitroff and Mularkey by his quick knowledge of receiver routes and look offs.

We won't beat the Saints.
They normally beat themselves.

The bandwagon has a few parts missing
I didn’t like the pick when Dorsey was available, but what’s done is done. Ryan was unquestionably the best QB in the draft, and has tons of potential.
He can’t do it without a line protecting him, though. The OL absolutely sucked last year, and will likely be only a little better this year. Rushing him too fast, behind an inferior line, is no way to nurture his development.
If GM and Coach do their jobs well, we might have a decent O-line in place for the ‘09 season. Then, let the bandwagon roll!
