Falcons Cut Two, Sign Three
The Nick Turnbull saga comes to its latest end in Atlanta, as the bounce-around safety was cut once again by the Falcons. A handful of other minor moves were made, as the Falcons also cut linebacker Earl Everett, who had about a 0.0001% chance of making the final roster anyways.
In response, the Falcons signed wide receiver Tony Gonzalez, who is probably the most interesting project simply because he'll be familiar with Matt Ryan. Whether their days in Boston College show up on the field is anyone's guess, but it pays to have friends around for practice. The team also picked up safeties Eric Brock and (!) Jamal Lewis, two guys who should be nothing more than roster filler heading into training camp.
Nothing to see here, folks. Move along.

6 years 72 million with 34 million guarenteed. One of the reasons I don’t like drafting QB’s so high.
In a way, each of us has an El Guapo to face.

I'll have more on this later
News always breaks when I’m at work, ironically. Thanks for getting something up.

I think we can all agree
That that’s a metric buttload of cash. My goodness.

Maybe
It’s only a ton of money if he succeeds as most of that 72mil is from performance goals achieved. Six years for 34mil ain’t too bad at all when you look at it that way.
