Around SBN: Steve McNair Found Shot to Death

Vick & Blank are Pen Pals

Falcons owner Arthur Blank said he has been in touch with Michael Vick. "Michael has written a couple times. I've written him back," Blank said. "We have that kind of relationship. Despite the mixture of frustration, anger and disappointment in him, I believe in second chances and redemption. I would love to see Michael pay his debt to society and come out and play again in the NFL. I think he could also be a big help to ... speak to people about some of his choices."

Oh boy....

by now I'm sure most of you have seen the interview with Blank on the ajc, but just incase you didn't

Q: Would you welcome him back to the Falcons?

A: I would not say yes. I would not say no. At this point, Michael is in a federal penitentiary [on a dogfighting conviction] and is suspended from football. We have to move forward. We are moving forward. We have to assume he's not coming back. I do wish him well. I'd love to see him play again. It would be good for the NFL

It can't happen
(((shudder)))

The Falcons would be an even bigger joke than they are now. Blank is a smart guy and im sure he realizes this. Fan and media backlash would shoot straight through the Dome's tattered roof. It can't happen. No way.

It can't
Oh boy and shudder pretty much sum it up. Blank seems to have a slightly self-destructive streak, but there is no way--no f'n way--that this can happen. He can write Vick all he wants, but he better not be making any promises.

By the way
I've hardly seen you around lately, Hamburger. You and runningback fight to the death or something?

Still around
peeps,

i have been out of commission for some time now due to some nasty dental procedures and general craziness the past couple of weeks.  next up?  a week in disney with the familia.  after which i will be coming back in full force.

if you don't hear back from me in about a week and a half, please call the authorities as the family vacation just might get the best of me.

In a way, each of us has an El Guapo to face.

Me and Running Back
We made a bet on the NCAA pool, he has to be my butler for a year, ala George and Jerry's failed sitcom pitch. (Seinfeld).

To tell you the truth, I still read the site daily, sometimes twice a day, but I havent had too much to say about the draft picks of other teams.  I agree with Dimitroff's approach on the draft, I grade players based on my teams needs, and could care less how other teams grade players.

I'll be back with more comments, dont worry.
