You all have probably heard that The Juice got 15 years today (eligible for parole in 6). Though there are doubtless lots of people out there who are sick and tired of the whole soap opera (like me), I figured some of you might want to comment. Plus, Fridays always seem to be pretty quiet days around here.
When I had season tickets in 1973, I saw Simpson gain 100+ yards against the Falcons when Buffalo came to town. That was the year he became the first man to gain 2000 yards rushing (and the only one to do it in 14 games). The nice old man who sat next to me that year reminded me that I should savor the memory of watching one of the all time great running backs. I doubt the old guy's around any more, but I wonder what his thoughts would be today.
Personally, I'm gratified that he's in jail. He killed those poor people and got away with it IMO. Partial justice delayed is better than none at all.
