Anatomy of a Bucs' Basher
Is it natural? Or is there a logical reason to why a lot of us fans, including of the Saints and Panthers, have an extreme distaste of the Buccaneers and maybe even their fans? I like to talk trash on fans of the Saints and Panthers. But in the end, I respect the rivalry between our team and theirs. Hell, I am always willing to give a handshake and a pat on the back to go along with "good game." Buc's,............ different story. There is something about them that just makes mine and a lot of other's skin crawl.
As of right now, the only logical reason i can think of is the fact that they popped into our division when the South was formed and caught THE trophy the first year.

Yup, Falcons fans just hate the Bucs.
Frankly, I hate ’em more than the Saints or Panthers.
"The nice thing about supporting a bedraggled-cum-decent team? Watching all those analysts eat their words."
I hate the Bucs
but not the fans, necessarily. There are obnoxious people EVERYWHERE you go, but Bucs fans seem like a generally decent lot from my limited perspective.
I don’t think there was ever much of a rivalry between our teams before we became divisional foes in 2003. Since then, the Falcons have a poor 4-7 record against Tampa.
Historical scores are—
2003- 10-31 and 30-28
2004- 24-14 and 0-27
2005- 27-30 and 24-27
2006- 14-3 and 17-6
2007- 7-31 and 3-37
2008- 9-24
Over those 11 games, we’ve been outscored 156-234. Tampa has won ALL of the lopsided games. If there’s a formula for hatred, this is probably a pretty good start!
Personally, John Gruden is the icing on my personal cupcake of ill will. I’ve always perceived him as smarmy and conceited, the Dr. Evil of the NFL (except without charisma).
Here’s hoping we knock them down a few notches on Sunday. Cheers!
Yeah, not much rivalry before 03
The ol’ NFC west Falcons. Almost forgot we had the 49ers and Los Angeles/ St. Louis Rams back then.

Rivalry
I think we as fans hate the bucs more because of their style of play, and their aforementioned dominance of our beloved birds. With the Saints & Cats, we’ve had our share of victorys (Vick owned the panthers), but even during our 2 playoff seasons with Vick at the helm, the bucs gave us trouble. They’ve also had loud personalities (Warren Sapp & Simien Rice). They do have the best player in the history of the NFC south as well (Derrick Brooks), so its easy to understand why we hate those scumbags.
haha
this is funny. I used to despise the bucs when they were in our divison. My hatred has since shifted to the Packers in recent years. The Packers have been out of the race for a while now, and packer fans are STILL trash-talking, do you believe that? Anyway, the reason I hated the bucs was the fact that we couldn’t beat them in Tampa. In 1998, (you know, the year Gary Anderson screwed us over? I bet Falcon fans remember that.) Guess where our one loss came. That’s right, Raymond James Stadium. Just another reason to hate the bucs, ‘cuz then you guys would’ve beaten an unbeaten team in the playoffs.
