A Conundrum: NO @ TB
This weekend, two of our bitter rivals are facing each other. One is tied for 1st in the division. The other is one game behind us. The matchup between New Orleans and Tampa Bay promises to be some good football regardless of our predisposed hatred of the teams. The question is...who do you, as a Falcons fan, root for? I'm rooting for New Orleans, personally. Any added loss to TB's record will help bring them back down to Earth. So, for the first time in my life, I'm going to be watching a game and actually saying (hold back the bile!) "Go Saints!"

I might have to sit this one out.
I guess it makes sense to pull for NO, but the Saints are right on our heels. I just can’t decide which way to go on this one. This is one of those games where you just hope the stadium is sucked into a vortex and both teams are transported to a parallel dimension or something. It’s like asking whether you want to hook up with the fat chick or the ugly chick. There’s really no right answer.

Technically...
…we should be concentrating on winning our games, that means we have to root for the teams above us to lose and hope we keep winning!

No conundrum here!
I’m pulling for the Saints and Packers this Sunday.
That’s a nice three-way 8-4 log-jam at the top of the NFC South, assuming the Falcons can take care of business. I look at it this way, Carolina’s coming apart at the seams, Tampa hasn’t really had a cognizable identity all year long, and the Saints, well I still don’t know what to think about them.
Regardless, I feel like Atlanta has all the right checkmarks in place. Didn’t peak too early. Defense playing better (except when the game is out of hand, and they’re in prevent). Ground game? Check. QB with ice water in his veins? Check. Identity? Run the football, stop the run. Granted we’re not too hot on stopping the run…
POINT BEING, I think we’re poised to take the NFC South. Carolina has to put themselves back together, and the Packers might just be the team to do it against. Tampa has got to show more consistency, and develop a known identity. The Saints have to just win, in any way shape form or fashion. Atlanta just has to keep doing their thing, which is improving in just about every game.
Fun food for though: Scratch one bad call and one dropped pass, and Atlanta’s probably looking at 9-2… The only two losses that we can’t really take any solace in being competitive in were Tampa and Carolina, Matt Ryan’s two first road starts and two first division games. Remember back then? Those were the days when opposing defenses used to say “Let’s stop Turner and make the Rook throw on us.” Then they’d snicker. I’d like to see how many DC’s still want to try and let Ryan beat them through the air…
We’ve heard that a million monkeys at a million keyboards could produce the complete works of Shakespeare; now, thanks to the Internet, we know that is not true.

Saint's
I want the logjam in the division. With our remaining schedule we will be in charge of our own playoff destiny.
