Intelligent And Immediate Reaction To The Falcons Win

That was awesome!

Sorry I had to abandon the game thread, as duty and my paycheck called. After I left, I noticed the Falcons took off and spanked the Panthers, so I must've done something right.

There were certainly some low points to this game that point out why the Falcons have a ways to go, but there's no denying that beating the stuffing out of the best team in the division has a way of making those thoughts fade away. What a great season.

Feel free to use this as a giddy after-thread until we get the full recap up tomorrow morning.

Harry Douglas Coming Out Party

That’s what we should call this game. I cannot believe how good this kid is. I mean, darn … I doubted the Comrade a bit when they drafted him … thought he might be too slight in stature. But I was wrong!

Burner made a huge statement today. I love the fact that he was running hard w/ less than a minute left in the game. This team made a HUGE statement today. Five games left … I’m fairly sure we can go 3-2. Maybe better. This team doesn’t stop impressing.

After all the drama this team has had to negotiate, it’s AMAZING to see them working hard and having success. Heck yeah!

The best part

I really liked how they weathered the early onslaught in the 3rd quarter from the Panthers. That tells me a lot about this team that they didn’t let a bad quarter snowball into something truly terrible and fought back. This team has a strong identity and Smitty’s got them on the right track. Truly the best I’ve felt about this team since they went to Green Bay and knocked them off in 2002 in the playoffs.

Jeez

Think about how well we could be playing at this point next season! I mean, some help on the D-line and the back 6, an understudy for Brookings…all that could be helping us to lead the division considering we’re surrounded by old teams (old O on Tampa, old D on the Bucs, Saints and Panthers!). Awesome.

Perhaps history will record this as the day

that we began suckling at the teat of greatness. Big, big win.
Go Falcons!
