Around SBN: Has Kentucky Improved Since the Non-Conference Season?

Inquiring minds--or at least the staff of the AJC--want to know. I think it speaks volumes that there's only one defender on this list. I'll give you one guess who it is.

"Matt Ryan [is so] much like a young Peyton Manning it's scary. One difference: Ryan is winning (6-4) as a rookie. Manning (3-13) didn't."

I cannot put more value on an intangible like heart. Ryan just shows so much heart out there. You know the guy wants to score on every down. That’s why I’m picking him. Some would say he’s the obvious choice, seeing as he’s the one getting White the ball and making insane clutch throws (even if White doesn’t catch every one of them). Heck, look at the Denver loss. Half of the first downs made on 3rd and Long were by Ryan’s arm. Would Turner have been in position to make that 20yd TD run had Ryan not gotten him in the red zone?

The Falcons needed a lynchpin QB. They got one. Falcons MVP all the way.

"The nice thing about supporting a bedraggled-cum-decent team? Watching all those analysts eat their words."

Matt f*ckin Ryan

Do you want proof?

Chicago Bears just went up, there’s 7 seconds on the clock, and Ryan pulls the huddle together and says “We’re going to win this game.”

That’s how you spell leader. Matt Ryan has this offense in the right direction. I agree, we need a better defensive presence.

We’ve heard that a million monkeys at a million keyboards could produce the complete works of Shakespeare; now, thanks to the Internet, we know that is not true.

defense or offense

It’s true that the offense has done well-the problem is there are too many guys who contibuted significantly on offense—the ones mentioned PLUS the O LINE. But the old adage in football is that you win with defense. So I’ll go with THE PREDATOR.

Snowballs

Definitely Snowballs as he gives us hope every play, every down that he can do something to help us. Turner was probably MVP for the first 4-5 games, but now that Ryan has evolved he is running this show right now.
