The Montgomery Fox affiliate always seems to choose the other matchup(s). Thankfully I’ve got FieldPass so I can hear Wes Durham in all his glory.
Seriously guys, I’m in a Falcons deadzone here in Montgomery. Only 2 hours away from the Promised Land and I can’t find a (free) Falcons broadcast on TV or Radio. I’m only 10 miles away from the Columbus AM540 signal. But the local Montgomery sports AM channel is an affiliate for the Buffalo Bills. This is Alabama. Who the #@%! wants to listen to a Bills broadcast this far south?

Well, just found out its on CBS this time. Is it guaranteed national?

I'm answering my own questions!
It’s regional, but in Montgomery that can mean anything. In a neutral NFL state (no team) it’s up to the affiliate to choose which game they want to show (at least for the Fox affiliates). That’s what I get in a town that sells equal inventory Bucs, Titans, Saints, and Falcons gear at the stores. The things I have to go through to get my fix.

Appears that Montgomery's in luck
according to this nifty little map here. Enjoy!

Just barely
lol. Thanks for the map Tom. I kinda freak out when I don’t get my Falcons fix, if you couldn’t tell.

Been there
I lived in Long Island for a few years in the early 1990s and it totally sucked. I think I saw two regular season games in 3 years.

You’ve had it worse then. Here in Montgomery, I’m only missing two or three games a year depending on some epic showdown between megateams. I’m moving to Atlanta in January and my first purchase after an apartment lease? Season Tickets :-D Well, if the wife allows………..

Fans of obscure vintage animation may enjoy this “Super Chicken” cartoon from around 1970, produced by the same people who did “Rocky & Bullwinkle”.
Any relation to football is entirely accidental. Things are kind of quiet around here today. Go Falcons!
