Roddy White Gets His Bell Rung

Oh no.

Now, just because Roddy was involved in a collision doesn't mean he's concussed or worse. The important thing is that we don't panic. DON'T PANIC!

The problem is that if he somehow misses the game, the Falcons would be completely and utterly boned. The Bears are one of the best defensive teams in the league, and the Falcons without White and Laurent Robinson become one of the worst passing teams in the league. Michael Jenkins and Harry Douglas are hardly a tandem to strike fear in the hearts of Chicagons everywhere.

So I'll be crossing my fingers that young Rodericko wasn't injured badly on Wednesday. Against probably the toughest D we've faced so far, we're going to need him to take a little pressure off the run.

Panic!

I’m in panic mode! The receiver corp. is already suspect as it is, I can’t imagine how bad it will be without Roddy! Even with Roddy they still drop tons of passes. I rememeber every week critics used to complain about how bad Vick was a QB and how his completion percentage was so low, now I see why! It wasn’t Vick, it was these same WR’s making the same mistakes, dropping passes!

I agree the recievers are pretty bad, White helps a little but not much. But Vick was terrrible. He got beat out as the #1 QB on the prison team he’s now on.

Receivers

If the Falcons finish near the bottom of the league, they have to seriously consider drafting a top-flight receiver to go with White. I’d love to see Laurent Robinson step up and fill that role, but he’s been unable to do so because of injuries and the Falcons are going to need more than one passing threat going forward.

And I know, we still need multiple picks along the offensive and defense line. This is still a re-building team.

If he's out,

then you can fully expect to see eight in the box daring us to try and beat them through the air. Heck, you might see that regardless with Chicago and like @Tampa, it will more than likely work with our weak O-line.

Agreed

The Falcons would be lunatics not to upgrade the line in the off-season, and I have to believe we’ll see at least two picks and a free agent along there. The fact that the team has done this well with Sam Baker & His Tambourine Playing Weaklings is a testament to the coaching, IMO.
