Sam Baker, Lawyer Milloy Practice Thursday
Well, this is encouraging news.
The Falcons really need Sam Baker back to block for Matt Ryan. As we've become acutely aware in this young season, this line just isn't the same without the rook covering Ryan's blind side. As much as I'd like to say the Falcons aren't counting on Lawyer Milloy, they clearly could use him and he'll likely be probable for the Packers game.
Now to the bad news. Laurent Robinson still hasn't practiced, and I'd put him as no better than doubtful for the game. In case you were unaware, the Falcons are going against a fairly weak run defense, but it would be nice if Ryan had all his targets up and running in case something goes horribly awry. Might be a good game for Harry Douglas to waste the Packers' third-string strong safety, though.
Thoughts?

keys to the packers game
even with VERY poor pass protection, QB matt ryan stayed strong in the pocket and threw some very nice balls – the problem was the receivers didn’t catch them, and many of those drops were for crucial 3rd downs – all momentum changing drops. even r. white, the man who has stepped up for this team, let the panthers D in his head before he got the ball safe in his hands.
give the boy some help and you will win against GB. we’re close to being a very good team – but all must make sure to do their job first and foremost.
overall – great effort on the road against carolina – as a long time fan, it’s rare to see the falcs play with a real team passion. keep it up matt — you’re doing everything you can and you and your team will get better together!
