Sam Baker To Have Back Surgery, Out Indefinitely
Damnit.
The AJC is reporting that Sam Baker is having back surgery and will be sidelined indefinitely. Without him, the team will roll with Todd Weiner and possibly Wayne Gandy in the weeks ahead. Cross your fingers and hope Baker can come back this year, but I'm not optimistic at all.

Well, THIS certainly sucks!
You do what you have to do, but losing Baker for the year (presumably) is a big blow to the O-line. His presence really elevated our play this year.
Appears that our good luck with injuries has really evened out lately. Depth is not a luxury that this team has. The Falcons will undoubtedly keep playing hard, but losing 3 starters (counting Fat Boy) really sucks out loud. Oh well, onward ho and Go Falcons!

Same surgery as Warrick Dunn
and he was back in three weeks… so lets keep our fingers crossed. (disc)
